YAEL BROMBERG

Yael Bromberg, Esq. is a constitutional rights attorney with twenty years of experience in community organizing, advocacy, and campaigns. She is Principal of Bromberg Law LLC where she represents local, state and national democracy organizations, in addition to individual clients, on a range of cases and projects mostly related to constitutional law, civil rights, election law, voting rights, and free speech. She is of counsel to Weissman & Mintz LLC, where she represents unions and workers in arbitration and pay equity litigation. Bromberg clerked for nearly three years with the Honorable Dickinson R. Debevoise in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Yael is a graduate of Douglass College and Rutgers Law, where she was a Kinoy/Stavis Fellow in the Rutgers Constitutional Litigation Clinic, an Ella Baker Fellow with the Center for Constitutional Rights, and received upon graduation the Eli Jarmel Memorial Award for greatest interest and proficiency in public interest law.

FLAVIO L. KOMUVES

Flavio L. Komuves is a member of Weissman & Mintz, Somerset, having joined that firm in 2019.  Previously, Flavio spent four years as New Jersey Deputy Public Advocate in the administration of Gov. Jon Corzine, in charge of the voting rights program.  He has been counsel in a number of high-profile election cases including Tumpson v. Farina (2014), Save Camden Public Schools v. City of Camden Bd. of Ed. (2018), Empower Our Neighborhoods v. Guadagno (2012-2018), I/M/O Nov. 2, 2010 South Amboy General Election (2011), and In re Attorney General's Directive on Exit Polling (2008).   He also practices as a Union-side labor and employment attorney, conducting arbitrations and litigating a variety of issues in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals. Flavio also volunteers to serve the Bench and Bar through his service on the Advisory Committee on Extrajudicial Activities, as a Trustee of the New Jersey Appleseed Public Interest Law Center, and as a previous four-term chair of the Election Law  Special Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association.  He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1997.

BRETT PUGACH

Brett Pugach is Of Counsel to Weissman and Mintz, where he focuses on voting rights and election law matters.  One of New Jersey's leading election law attorneys, Brett has represented progressive candidates and other clients on a variety of election law issues concerning political campaigns, voting rights, constitutional rights, filing petitions, ballot access, ballot placement, bracketing, recounts, election contests, and campaign finance.  Among other roles, Brett previously served as General Counsel for the New Jersey presidential primary campaign for Senator Bernie Sanders in 2016, and also served as a delegate at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Brett received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 2011 where he was Managing Notes Editor for the Law Review and Co-Chair of the Moot Court Board.
